I love this Ikea. The plant selection is always really great and the prices are low. Just keep an eye out for bugs, I bought a fiddle leaf fig with spider mites unfortunately. Thankfully their return and exchange program is so good so I was able to replace it. They have a lot of great vegetarian options if you’re going to eat. I really enjoyed the as is section. The discounts are pretty good and your can find items that have been discontinued. Staff are very friendly too and lots of parking.

Love IKEA!! The only staff member I talked to was the cashier in the cafeteria and he was very lovely. We left with a few small items 🤔 planning on returning soon for a couple of larger purchases. If you’re going to stop here for lunch I suggest the Veggie Balls.

You can find everything and anything here for a good price. Just don’t forget that your purchase will look cheap 😉. It is busy most of the time and the food is great, so think of spending the whole day there. I was surprised that they didn’t do much of sanitation and couple of staff didn’t wash their hands after using the bathroom. I hope these were an unusual and one time mistakes.

I love ikea, you can find everything you need the price was so good espicially for the beed and mattress. You can select what you. They had a plants and flower it was a very low price. Recomended, abosolutely yes!!

I love going there even when I don’t really need anything. But don’t buy a mattress from there, they aren’t a mattress store. Everything else is awesome though. I bought a coat rack and a little cabinet. Instructions are clear as alwats, I finished them within 20min.

Fantastic place to visit (or to kill time or even if you don’t need to buy furniture). Great selection of misc. items too like kids toys, backpacks/bags, frozen foods, decor pieces, carpets, etc. Love their affordable food & food court areas upstairs and downstairs. The sacrifice is the possibly inconsistent quality (e.g. Mac and cheese has strange mushy texture, broccoli sometimes over cooked) and lack of availability of specific menu items (depending on time of your visit). I enjoy the refillable juices and $1 coffee and sugar and cream dispenser.

Cheap mattresses- No thank you. Quality To be honest, they mattresses are really bad. If you think you can buy a good cheap mattresses for the bunk bed you are wrong. I didn’t expect memory foam but look at the picture what’s inside. Return policy Extremely bad. 30 minutes waiting and then good luck to talk with manager. I came there on August 11th 2021 in a morning. Their ticket still shows June 2021 and time is wrong. They have 7 windows open but only 2 is working. I guess I was lucky. Some people waiting for an hour. They don’t except returns if it’s not in original package. They saying that you have hair on your mattress or it’s dirty. The quality is so bad that you have no chance to clean it.

I am always buying a package of the plant balls to cook at home, and am happy they have reopened the As-Is section. It looks much nicer than the “afterthought arena” it used to be. I do wish discontinued items showed up there, though. I need more Ivar LP record shelves.

Why do IKEA associates not take pride in their workplace? Today, at the Deerfoot Meadows store I saw litter on the floors and associates walking past it. Why not take pride and pick it up? Not to be picky but items on display in several areas were not available. Good coffee however.

Don’t rely on their website stock. Apparently it’s only up-to-date within about an hour, which means I drove 25 minutes here for a product that was already out of stock They also won’t ship, won’t hold, no solution. Make sure you item has MANY in stock, or you will be SOL on arrival Left a whole shopping cart and went across the road to their competitor. Much easier experience. Unless you are absolutely desperate just avoid them. I’m sure they don’t care about a single sale loss, but it’s a pretty common story

As I got to the self serve section where you grab your boxes, I realized I didn’t have my wallet. Imagine my surprise — in a store as large as IKEA losing a wallet. I had a $150 gift card that I was saving forever until moving out into my own space and $300 cash plus all my cards. As I was about to abandon my cart to desperately scramble through the store ATTEMPTING to retrace my steps, a message comes over the speaker, calling my name. Not sure if a staff or customer found it but thank you so much to whoever saved My wallet, turned it in, and saved me a mental break down. I love you.

My whole 3-story house is full of Ikea stuff, that explains more than I could ever write here 🙂 The only pain I always have with Ikea is the constant issues with stock, hence only 4 stars instead of 5. Every time I visit the website to order something, half of what I want to get is out of stock. However, I absolutely love the simplicity of the designs, the quality and the prices are great.

A lot of items missing and it is not mentioned upstairs. You get down, ready to pick up your stuff and they are not in stock. Very annoying. You don’t want to go back and see if you have other choices. The employee talk a lot between themselves and you feel like bother them when you ask something. They have no ideea about the merchandise in the store. Two employees were sitting on a desk I want to see it. I thought they gonna find another place to talk, but no. I asked them to let me open the drawers and they felt kind of offended. Who trained them to have this attitude?

If I could give it minus stars I would. Went there with my family today to get some stuff for the house. Everything is sold out, hard to find, or you can’t find it at all. Be nice if I could ask a staff member in which there are few of, and the ones I did find were the most ignorant cranky bunch I’ve ever talked too. One lady literally just said “ I don’t know” and walked away from me. Another said “ I don’t know find someone in that department I don’t work in it” you can forget about me coming to your store again I’ll shop on line thanks.

Everyone here has been super helpful to me. The location is easy to get to, right off of Deerfoot. Right next to other great stuff like Costco, good food places, and other stores. Also happens to be a good spot to get a quick easy healthy dinner if you’re shopping in the evenings. Big fan of their salmon.

We ordered a complete kitchen and only part of the order was in. They were supposed to send an email when the rest if the items came in but I received no emails. Therefore my items were cancelled as they only hold them for 4 days. I live out of town so can’t just pop in anytime to check for stock. Very very poor system and this has caused me some major headaches trying to figure out what is missing.

IKEA is not what it is used to be… How one can dispatch and deliver a bedroom set without a bedframe? After 2 phone conversations with a delivery company and 4 phone conversations with customer support line including one unprofessional manager who does not seem to understand the basics of the customer service, we ended up arranging pick up and refund. Time, money and energy wasted for nothing. I doubt we gonna spend money on anything more than meatballs in the future. I would love to bring this to a corporate level, but it seems impossible and frankly not worthy.

I love IKEA,. for many reasons, but the main ones are price and quality, and selection. UNBEATABLE. I recently purchased curtains, 100% velveteen cotton, that just so happened to be the perfect color match for my home decor, coral, aqua and yellow/gold,. regular 79.99, for 19.99!. I have an abundant of accent pillows, rugs, baskets, picture frames, storage containers, beds, mattresses, desks, chairs,. lighting, and I am rarely disappointed with my selections,. i find the staff helpful,. and friendly, and make it seem like a fun place to work as well. Good job!

Good store where you can find almost everything to make your place cozy yet with minimalist design. Prices are OK. Just one thing that is a little bit annoying that when you find something you loved from distance, and after coming close to that item you see a red label saying “sorry this item is out of stock” 😂.

All is good except customer service. The guy at checkout thought there were 2 table pads stuck together, and condescendingly commented that Ikea probably made it thicker. I know what you thought. The guy at food checkout was rude too. They made a mistake of not wrapping my orders to go, and handed me 2 small containers for 4 hotdogs. Maybe Ikea needs to evaluate their employees.

Cheating delivery service. Delivery scheduled between 1 and 5 pm. At 5:20 driver called and said he was late and will arrive in another 30 min. I understood and agreed but one minute later I get a text message from IKEA saying my order was successfully delivered! Called IKEA to report that the driver was cheating and they put me on hold a long time and told me they could not do anything and could not change the status of my order to “pending delivery”. So they don’t care and they let the delivery contractors cheat the system at their convenience”. I guess they prefer to have good statistics (KPIs) than giving an honest service to customers.

After getting frustrated (as one normally does in an Ikea) while attempting to finish designing and ordering our kitchen cabinets (with two Littles in tow) our trip was immediately brightened and redeemed by an an employee named Rafael. One of our kids moved recently and when we re-assembled their Hennes daybed we were short a couple of bolt holder things. We could find the part number online and requested replacement parts which arrived quickly and without charge – this is the best we could have hoped for and thanks very much 🙂

Used to be the easiest experience but this was a huge hassle. You can’t check the inventory or set anything aside. For someone without a car having to coordinate a day plan with my friends, it was challenging and disappointing to get the leftovers in the shelves. Not to mention that me and my male friend almost broke our wrists trying to build this very simple nightstand – the holes are not large enough and we don’t have actual power tools, just regular tools, to widen. The pieces you included stripped as I was twisting them in with the screwdriver so it was impossible for me to take it apart or start again. The alternative was to figure out another way to go back, explain, maybe get another nightstand depending on availability, and take it all the way home. It works/stands up but it creaks and it’s not sturdy so I can’t put any kind of weight on it. If I would’ve known how much effort this took, I would’ve figured out another solution to furnish my home.

Who doesn’t like Ikea!? We get a number of items from Ikea either by instore shopping or online. I have attempted to order various things online and ended up frustrated to learn they weren’t ‘deliverable’ items. Cancelled the entire order as a result.

Good experience here at this store. It has a variety of options here and all the products are good quality. Staff here are decent and the restaurant food is absolutely amazing with meatballs and daim cakes. I love the showrooms here how detailed they are. Even know this store is massive, and needs more directory to certain areas I still had a great time exploring this store. Thanks IKEA😀

One of my favourite shopping places, we got the white shelves and the twin bed for kids, very organized and distributing face masks in the entrance if you forgot yours, There were lots of things in As Is and we liked the variety of the products, I love to assemble the furniture like a puzzle and you solve it. I give the $5 curtains 5 stars as well.

If you like IKEA you’ll like this store. Get some yummy inexpensive food before you shop. The veggie balls meal is gluten free. If you tell the staff to change their gloves they will happily do it. The veggie balls taste so good and I didn’t have a glutened reaction. Pretty happy that I can eat something at IKEA being celiac.

I love how they set things up for you to get inspired but overall it’s so crowded and confusing to find what you need. For small things and general inspiration yes. Love it. But for something specific and a larger project…. Like the thought of doing an entire kitchen from ikea gives me so much anxiety. Who knows, with the right sales person it might be better than I expect but. My advice is go in there with a decent idea of what you want, have your measurements and compare online first and read reviews to narrow your options down.

Ikea provides inexpensive but good value items for house and home. Most of the time you don’t have an issue with products but if you have to return or exchange anything …. good luck. They have a lot of rules and my experience is that the have non-customer service oriented people working the return desk. The managers are great but not the front line. A guy has a big return and was told flat out (after waiting forever which is the norm) “it will take me a while. You should come back another time.” To me, again after waiting. “If you don’t have a recipe (on an item that is clearly Ikea) even if it is a manufacturing flaw, there is no warranty.

Ikea is virtually the same everywhere. Well priced furniture that won’t last you forever but will save your wallet. Service is generally quick at this site. Good for a quick $1 snack too. Hot dogs and frozen yogurt for about a dollar. Their restaurant is also fun for a quick cheap breakfast.

It’s IKEA. They’re kind of the same wherever you go. This particular one was more fun than the others I’ve been to recently, though. Not sure why, exactly. I did not end up buying any furniture (this was a reconnaissance mission) but I got to enjoy a delicious plate of Haddock and Chips at a small discount for the long weekend Holiday. I will be back, but it’s just so hard to choose furniture at IKEA.

Oh IKEA… a magical wonderland of home goods! Good food too! Overall a good experience, bought a couch and bed for our new condo. I will mention that the girl arranging deliveries could use a refresher course in customer service. She was very curt and just didn’t have a very good attitude. Everyone else was very friendly but it must have been the end of her shift or something because she just wasn’t in the mood for work or customers. Oh well I’ll still be back.

It’s Ikea! It’s busy, furniture is reasonably priced and they have a lot of selection, and the meatballs are yummy. We had to wait in line before getting in and even though they say they are controlling how many people go in the store was insanely busy! I don’t recommend bringing kids right now. It’s too crowded and they can’t play with any of the play stuff.

Always a good place to go for food, furniture or to simply kill time. This review is more for the restaurant. It is clean and staff are quick to serve. Sometimes it seems they do run low on stock for some items. Overall…its the same as with any other ikea restaurant. Spacious and consistently flavoured food. Expect to see lots of children around.

Their customer service is terrible especially people in the customer service desk. I lost my nice gloves and I knew exactly where I left them. I went back to look for them and they were not there. I asked them where I could look for my lost gloves and they sent me to ‘Return’ desk. There were about 7-8 people waiting to return their stuff. I asked one mean female worker where I could find out if they have my gloves. She told me to sign in and wait for my turn. I told her I would sign in and wait for my turn if she can confirm they have my gloves. I wasn’t going to wait 45 min only to hear they don’t have my gloves. All people there had the reason to wait and they know exactly what they would get it after 45 min waiting. But she told me to wait my turn only to tell me they don’t have my gloves?? She was so rude and she should not be working there if she cannot exercise common sense and have no customer service skills. By the way, it was only 11:30 in the morning which was only 1 and a half hours after the opening and she was that rude and cannot imagine what she would be like by 5PM. I still believe they have my gloves but not sure who I can ask. It was terrible experience and still makes me mad just thinking about it. Male sure you don’t lose anything in that store because you will get it back.

Most of the items out of stock even though on their website they are in stock. When you call to check you get the information how items are actually in stock but you have to rush to the store because they do business on first come basis, no reservations, no exceptions. When you get to the store answer is that yes, they have items but they are on hold for someone else. I used to love Ikea because of their affordability and modularity but they became absolutely worst company, not transparent and definitely not capable of providing even basics customer service…

The place lets you look with out salespeople bothering you. You and your spouse can look and make decisions. Then once you know what you want you go and pick a number for service. The computer screen will show next number for service. They don’t get sales percentage from sale. They get paid by hourly or Salary. Good place to walk and see their ideas and try to meet what you want.

Skip the self checkout / scan as you shop! The staff at this section of the check out are very unprofessional. I did the new scan as you shop feature and when I got the the checkout the person supervising was very rude and kept telling me a had missed some items. She then started to rummage aggressively through my cart and chipped the plant pot I had just payed for. All my items were scanned correctly. No missed items. No apology. And now I have a chipped plant pot. Thank you IKEA

Bought a matress from this location its 2 years old and sagging. I went to do an exchange as the matress is starting to affect my sleep. Now when I went to do the exchange which they were not able to help with. The matress has 15 year warranty which they won’t honor because we used the matress, what was I supposed to look at it while I sleep on the floor?! I’m very disappointed in Ikea. I feel violated, discriminated, and abused. I’ll no longer be supporting Ikea.

Experience is good, furniture is of good quality and service. Only down side is that most of the furnitures I want to buy is always out of stock, I asked when is the next shipment, they say the next day, I come the next day, still no stock. Honestly, it’s still an OK experience.

Food was good got the meat balls fries and veggies, they don’t have the coke products anymore so don’t get a drink not really good. Also the staff were kinda rude. Didn’t even ask if I wanted extra sauce or extra meat balls I would have paid for it….

Its a maze inside with nice selection of products, you can always find little cute gadgets for the house. Customer service is always great and friendly. Crowded almost everyday. Great place to spend time browsing and checking for new ideas. Affordable prices and quick. Premises are always well kept clean and presentable.

I love IKEA, but during our last visit, the food was pure disappointment. The hotdogs were small and bland, and they did not put enough sauce on the dogs. Also the coffee is the worst coffee I’ve ever had, sadly.

This place is a zoo. We visited there and I was absolutely HORRIFIED to see that Ikea does not care enough about their staff to mandate the use of masks, when so many people are in such an enclosed area, being herded through the gates like cattle. We went there to pick up a cabinet and were ushered upstairs to the showroom, where we had to walk through the entire floor to find our way back to the stairs, go back down, and walk another country acre to find our product in aisle 24, bin 25. What a friggin nightmare. I had my 65 year old sister with me who has COPD and cannot breathe well. I won’t be going back there any time soon.

Phenomenal service! My roomate left his product there 2 days ago, went in today and they had set it aside. Incredible prices abd decently easy instructions to follow. Oh and there food is amazing. (Except their hotdogs, costco’s is better).

What can we say..IKEA is our Bff when it comes to purchasing items, furnishings and finding unique items for both home and my makeup studio. Decor, plants, wall art etc. Sometimes its a joke with us if its been a few weeks “we should go!! Its been awhile LOL” we have had 2 dressers and 2 bedframes for YEARS..not much wear n tear. My studio retail area has 3 ikea dressers that have seen the test of time. Best time to shop here in YYC…Monday mornings or evenings. Just sayin!

Is always great go to IKEA, still the one at Edmonton is my favorite but this one have a great cafeteria and is well organized. Apparently even when you write the location of the article double check on the storage screens because the location can be changed.

As this is the only IKEA in Calgary for now, it could be a far drive for those who don’t live near here. However, being situated in the Deerfoot Meadows complex, this area is definitely a one-stop-shop for all your needs. This IKEA is big with a ample amount of parking space, and stocked with a huge selection of the items. Their furniture hall could get quite cramped if you come on the weekends. Their food hall is modern, clean and spacious, with window views overlooking the parking lot to people/car watch if you wanted to take a break from walking around. Staff is always hard to find though, so it might take some walking around to get some help. The cafeteria past the cashiers are always busy – expect a line to get some froyo or hotdogs!

It’s ikea so that makes it great on its own. But I found this ikea to be a little bit smaller then most with less inventory. The shelves were a little less stocked then they should have been (I could have just gone on an off day). The staff was very helpful and friendly though.

I love IKEA. Not for the furniture so much (because it tends to break relatively quickly, or maybe I’m just hard on furniture) but the food. I love coming here for lunch dates. It’s super affordable, and my kid loves it too. $2 kids meals. $15 feeds both of us a ton of food and a dessert. Afterward we walk through all the display furniture (which takes forever because my kid wants to sit on every couch) and I usually end up coming home with some cheap kids toy we didn’t really need, and some random household stuff.

After buying 2 ikea hemne dressers, they are already falling appart 7 months later. Paid 200 each. Maybe ikea should have an option ” build and glue” to make sure it never comes appart by itself again…. this is a really high price considering that I just saw a set with a queen bed frame, one dresser and one nighstand in actual wood for 450 for the whole set from a furniture store. If I would have known before..

2017. 11. 25. We stopped by the Ikea food court for lunch on early Saturday morning. We each had our own dishes and share. I had Chicken Ball Combo, which included couple chicken balls, some vegetable, mash potato, a glass of pop, and a slice of cake. Besides that, I also got a piece of Garlic bread. My boyfriend got fish and chips, salad, Garlic bread, and a doughnut. The whole meal cost us around $20. The food was not fresh, most of them were old. The Garlic slices of bread were cold and hard to eat. The doughnut was the same. The Chicken Balls were not real meatballs. We had a horrible experience at IKEA

Literally the most frustrating place to order anything from. “Something went wrong with your pick up location”. Why is there not an option to ship it to my house? I can go drive 11 hours to BC to pick up what I’d like… Have never had a good experience shopping at IKEA.

A great IKEA in my opinion. This is the only location in Calgary and it has everything you’d expect. Decent furniture and all things related to your home. Quality isn’t always amazing and the prices can be a bit high compared to similar products at other locations but as an all around furniture store it’s got most of what you need. This location is clean, well designed, and has a convenient food court area with IKEA specific dishes (try the Swedish meatballs) at an affordable price. Large parking lot and close proximity to many other shopping spots at this Deerfoot Meadows area.

Dude. I walked into this store and walked the stupid pre-made path through all the fake room setups totally prepared to drop a grand on furniture my wife wanted. I walked out with almost nothing. Tell me, Ikea: why can Costco keep stuff on the shelf but absolutely zero of the items on my wife’s list were in stock? I would estimate without exaggeration that 75% of items in this Ikea were out of stock. It was like what one imagines Soviet-era grocery stores were like: empty shelves with placeholder items. My advice is go to Jysk. You’ll spend less and leave less of your soul behind. And they actually have the items they display in stock.

Customer Service Representative at the front filled in the blanks if what we couldn’t figure out and pointed us to the direct spot helping us avoid walking through the entire store which saved us a lot of valuable time. Impeccable. Best selection in modern DIY furniture and household. BUT, recently I was in store shopping to set up my bedroom, as I was sitting onto and trying on the mattresses to decide which one to buy, 3 people with concerned faces gathered near me I don’t know for what reason or suspicion or what got whispered in their ears from the guy sitting behind the camera, the loss prevention sicko.. So I went to David, the one amongst them, so his nerves could calm down and he doesn’t catch a fit and know that I’m a genuine buyer. These people have sad lives… Before and after transformation below.

Ikea is fine, you know what you’re getting into and that hasn’t changed in a long time. Budget furniture may as well be monopolized by these guys. The reason my review is only 3 stars is the delivery experience, both in cost of item delivery and in service is very mediocre. I asked for delivery after 5pm because I have work, and they called saying they were in the area to deliver at 1pm (they did ask if I was available via phone, I could have said no and probably should have. After that I got another call that they had arrived, when I went down to meet them they were gone so I called again and they said they went back to the store because they were missing an item. Repeat this process to eventually get my items. Then I have 4 phone calls in one hour from the store automated machine asking me to provide feedback. 10 phone calls just to receive my items and wait an hour unsure if they are actually delivering early or not. Just a meh experience overall. But yeah the furniture is good for what you pay. I’ll still but again I just wish I had a bigger car like once a year.

Hello, I received your email today at 12:30 pm stating that “Adlis” table legs are in stock. I drove to the store right after work and was there at 4:30 only to find out that it is all gone. This is the third time that I drive to the store all the way from the NW and go back empty-handed. I am a bit frustrated because I bought the tabletop back in December and can’t get the legs that I want. When I asked around, it appears that someone is buying them in big quantities, a builder or a business. If that is the case, we, retail customers, should not be competing with businesses over the most affordable products, right? It is just not fair. I am hoping that Ikea takes care of this matter and comes up with a solution. After all, Ikea is well-known for its solutions and affordability.

Typical Ikea experience. The plant selection here is very good, but asides from that the inventory is always super low. Nothing is ever in stock here and when it is back in stock, sells out really fast. The customer service/return desk is always really backed up and seems like in general they could use more staff.
